Situated in the south west of Ireland and its largest county, Co. Cork has a distinct and rich culture which has featured significantly in shaping the history and culture of Ireland as a whole. Rugged coastal landscapes and Blarney Castle with its famous Blarney Stone are popular attractions with visitors and the city of Cork is second in size only to the capital Dublin.

Close to the city is the town of Mallow, an administrative centre for the north of Co. Cork and home to Cork Racecourse, a terrific venue where the hospitality and friendly atmosphere forms as much a part of the appeal as the Cork races on show.
Situated at the crossroads in the district of Munster, Mallow has its roots in agriculture but has grown to become a large and thriving town with many residents who travel to Cork City for work. Transport networks from the city are therefore comprehensive and allow easy access to Cork races, also well connected with Dublin, Tralee, Limerick and Killarney.
The course is situated outside of the town on the Killarney road and there are free bus shuttle services from the town on racedays.

The town has numerous bars, restaurants, visitor attractions and accommodation options for those with time to spend in the area. Although there are flat races held at the course, Cork races are most often fixtures within the National Hunt season and all year round racing with 20 meetings offer plenty of racing opportunities or simply the option of a great day out. The Easter Festival is certainly the highlight of the year at Cork races, encompassing three days of superb racing and the social aspects of Ladies Day, on Easter Sunday. Evening fixtures and themed events provide further options where the emphasis is on social interaction and a fun race experience.

Different admission options are available for racegoers at Cork Races depending on their requirements. Standard entry costs €15 with concessions of €10 for senior citizens and students. A saving can be made on a racecard when purchased with admission. Children below the age of 14 can get in for free with an adult providing good value for money for a family day out.
A further option is a Premium level ticket which can be pre-booked for €30. This allows entry into the top level of the Grandstand/Pavilion Stand where there are great race views and the Premium Members Bar. Group bookings of 20 or more also enjoy discounted rates, perfect for a work day out or social event with friends and family. Annual and five year memberships are also available.

Groups can also choose from a selection of hospitality options, ideal for corporate events and entertaining guests. Parties from 15 to 60 persons can be accommodated within private suites and boxes.
These are located on the top floor of the stand and as well as offering the best views over the course will offer guests access to a private bar and Tote betting facilities. Larger groups of up to 300 can be catered for within the course corporate facilities.
Dining options range from pub grub to fine restaurants and there are packages to enjoy these too. The Racing Pub Special Package costs €30 and includes admission, racecard, Tote betting voucher for €5, a hot beef roll and a pint.

For €45 per person the Restaurant Package comprises admission into the top tier of the stand for prime race viewing, a reserved table within the private restaurant and a meal chosen from a set menu. There is also a full bar and Tote betting facilities. The course also has five public bars and additional dining options.
